IFFCO is an innovative and integrated multi food products Group based in the United Arab Emirates. The Group, set up in 1975, has a significant presence in Impulse Foods, Agri-Business, Oils & Fats, Packaging, Chemicals, Sales and Distribution. IFFCO’s group companies are present in 40 countries supported by 74 operations delighting consumers in 5 continents.
The oil division became a reality in the 1990’s as the Emirates Refining Co. Ltd (ERCO) started to produce refined edible oils at Port Khalid, Sharjah. Through ERCO, IFFCO made two important launches that would become staples in Middle Eastern households: “Hayat”, a vegetable oils and ghee brand; and “Noor”, the most popular sunflower oil in the region.
This year saw the first IFFCO Olive Oil brand, Rahma. With a focus on high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Mediterranean sea, it quickly became one of IFFCO’s most successful brands.
Cogia, S.A., with an investment of 12 million€ in industrial installations is an IFFCO subsidiary and one of Tunisia top exporters of Packed Extra Virgin and Organic Olive Oil, exporting its products to more than 40 countries, including Middle East, North America, Asia, and Africa.
During this decade, IFFCO experienced an incredible expansion to countries like Turkey, France, Malaysia, Oman, Brazil, Nigeria, Iraq, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Angola, Senegal, Lebanon, Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Italy, South Africa, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Serbia.
SDA Zitouna I is one of the most advanced Olive Groves in the world, which guarantees fresh, rich and fruity olives every year. A built-in-olive oil processing mill with top-of-the-line technology ensures that the best flavors and excellent quality of the olive fruit are kept and preserved, resulting in a premium extra virgin olive oil.
IFFCO opens a commercial office focused on selling olive oil and olives in Granada (Spain), to be at the heart of the largest producing region in the world, Andalusia.
With the new IFFCO headquarters opening at the Tiffany Tower, the Olive Oil division also moved from Sharjah to Dubai.
IFFCO Iberia, S.L.U. includes new facilities with the latest production technologies and total vertical integration. With an annual production of 43,000 MT/year, it has become the olive oil headquarter for the IFFCO Group.
